DONATE TO SUPPORT
BREAKING FREE FOUNDATION

The Breaking Free Foundation is a volunteer-run organization. Every dollar donated goes directly toward supporting Albertans who are unable to access trauma-informed therapy due to financial barriers.

Your donation helps fund our Therapy Grant Program, which provides financial assistance to individuals seeking professional trauma therapy for PTSD and traumatic experiences.

Because our work is powered by volunteers, your generosity has a direct and meaningful impact. Donations help us reduce waitlists, expand access to care, and support people on their path toward healing and stability.

When you donate, you are helping someone take a critical step toward recovery and reclaiming their sense of safety and well-being.

Ways to Give Back

sponsor our podcast

Our podcast, Elephant in the Room, has become a trusted resource for our trauma community. Sponsor the podcast to help us bring our message of hope and healing to more people.

Interested? Contact us.

Bring us in for a seminar

Each seminar requires a minimum $750 donation, which funds one Trauma Therapy Grant for an Albertan who would otherwise be unable to access trauma-informed treatment.

These sessions are designed for workplaces, community groups, and professional organizations seeking to better understand trauma, respond safely to disclosures, and foster healthier, more supportive environments.

Sponsor our golf tournament

Our annual golf tournament is our biggest fundraiser of the year. Become our presenting sponsor or ask us about all sponsorship opportunities.

Corporate giving through Benevity

Does your employer use Benevity as their Cause Portal to encourage employees to donate? Do they match your donations? Let them know we are registered and choose us if you participate in your work place giving campaigns!

Victor the Frog is a mascot for the courage that lives inside all of us. This book aims to teach us all a bit more about compassion and moving forward from the yucky stuff in life. All of the illustrations were donated by prisoners across Canada as part of their rehabilitative journey.
